Update: Mack chimes in
Well, that's all folks. It's done. And in good time because I think I've had enough of talking about myself. NY was fantastic. There was an intense energy in the office and the turnout was excellent. I took the picture below right at the start, but the cool thing was that some of the people who were walking by actually stopped to see what was going on and we had even more folks by the end of it.
Max Kalehoff from Nielson Buzz Metrics was kind enough to do a writeup. You can view the final prez here Download blog06_final.pps

The room right before I started...

Blog Buds from left to right: Max Kalehoff, CK, Joseph Jaffe, Me, and Greg Verdino (and the picture was taken by Emily Steel of the WSJ no less!)
So now it's back to regular scheduled work and posts. This was a great experience and I feel privileged to have had it. Meeting the people I've come to know through my blog was the highlight and it was like getting together with old friends.
Jessi Hempel from BusinessWeek made a simple statement when we greeted each other after I finished:
"I feel like I know you"
Blogging has a way of doing that—of bringing people together in ways that were not possible before. And to my point about "Empathy, Experience, and Curiosity"—you won't fully understand this until you experience it for yourself.

DA you are seriously making me jealous with all these reports from what was obviously a great pair of presentations.
You know as I am reading these, it strikes me the difference in the perception of blogs in just the year that I've been blogging. An event like this wouldn't have taken place last year. I think companies are now moving into the 'Interest' stage of the AIDA cycle, they know there is SOMETHING to blogs, but aren't sure what the deal is. Presentations like yours are helping get them up to speed, and its great to see the MSM exposure you garnered, and deserved.
Love the "I feel like I know you" response. Very true. Congrats DA! I said it on DF, but it's been an inspiration to see your blogging star rise so quickly. Good to see the fame and fortune come to someone who deserves it!

Mack,
You should be jealous! :)
Seriuosly, I've been given a great honor to share my experience with some very smart and talented folks. I am a lucky guy.

Much gratitude for putting this amazing prez together--and for giving all us crazy bloggers an excuse to finally meet.
What I've been telling people in my corner is that these "friends" we've established are even better in person. God bless the 'sphere.
And you are completely right: unless you delve into this medium, you've no idea what you're missing. Judging from your audience yesterday, you've converted many more people to start joining the conversation.

Congratulations, DA. From all the buzz, it sounds like you were a smash hit.
So, now, time for video? Yes? :)

Paul, patience. We did film it. It will take some time to edit and stuff. Remember, I have a real job too!
:)
Thanks for the support though.

Damnit, DA. I'm so tired of your "real job". :)
