Digitas “Blog Tour” Update

View larger version (includes full screen option—requires registration)

Well, next week is the big one.  Boston on Monday and NY on Tuesday.  Apparently the response from Digitas employees in NY has been so robust that we added a second time slot on Tuesday to accommodate the numbers.  OK, I’m getting a little nervous now.  And folks from BusinessWeek, the Boston Globe and Forrester have confirmed RSVPs.  And Jaffe will be there too.  Crap, what have I gotten myself into?  :)

Ahhh well. I’ll do my best.  So here’s the latest presentation including as much feedback as I could fit in from some of your comments.  There’s an increased focus on the relationship of blogging to mainstream vehicles like search but there’s also some reality check stats.  I’ve also rearranged the order a bit and added a couple of new slides.  And thanks to slide share you can preview the deck right here without any download (Tip of the hat to Steve Portigal for turning me on to Slideshare—this service has a lot of potential)

I'll post a PDF version after the event is over.

David - Thanks for the Slideshare pointer. You should also check out Pictobrowser to pull Flickr sets into your blog. I just posted on it at my blog (yeah, I'm pimpin' it).

On the preso, this is the first open source approach I've seen to ppt. How much time have you alloted? Your diagrams are content rich and would seem to require a lot of discussion?

Just curious.

As far as the audience, I always tell people not to worry. If they screw up, it's just their job.

LOL!

The funny thing is, you really haven't 'advertised' the 'blog tour' that much. And even with such little promotion, you've got the heavyweights lined up to see you speak.

Well done DA, your rising status in the blogosphere is definitely a case study in the making!

David,

I will fly to NY on Tuesday just to see this. You have any extra seats left?

Jeff

Kevin,

There is a lot of info in the visuals. My plan is to tell the story behind them vs. give a detailed overview of each point. The presentation will be a leave behind. I have 1.5 hours.

Mack, I'm still pinching myself.

Jeff, are you kidding? If you are willing to fly to NY for this, we can accomodate you. I'll forward your info to the right people.

Will there be a video of some sort for those of us not cool enough to fly to New York?

Paul,

I don't want to give too much away—but we plan on doing something with video.

:)

Will security let me in with my laptop so I can live-blog the event?

Ann,

Go for it. We should have wireless and I've already warned Digitas execs that the event will be blogged. They know what they're getting into. :)

Excellent.... see you there!

hey david,
good luck. say hi to boston for me.
