Most of the "grown-ups" are scared.

The way I see it, you can live life by the "what ifs" or the "so whats." Moderation's the key.

Very interesting and to the point, with the picture saying it all. Children fail more often than we do as grown ups, and yet they experience more too. Hmmm... Must be something to that.
Pete - I'm with you on the moderation, and it's a great idea. I think if there are 5 reasons we shouldn't and 1 we should, we need to realize that 5=1 and dive in MORE.

You'll never know if you can swim if you never dive in. I like swimming...
Sometimes the deep water is scary, but the freedom you get in the deep water is intoxicating.

Not just regret ... realise that you may NEVER get the chance again. Make 2007 the year of saying YES!

Other reasons we should:
- Experience
- Discovery
- Growth
- Victory

Even when in the short term we experience some version of failure (caveat: I believe in learning) and sometimes embarrassment (only as adults, of course), in the long term we end up loving that we tried.
We always regret what we never tried. Always. With no exceptions.
Here's some food for thought on community:
- it's the hand we hold on to as we dive in;
- it's the net that will hold us even when we seem to fail holding onto ourselves;
- it's the new eyes with which we allow ourselves to see into our own.
One other reason why we don't dive in: we forgot how to.

my only regrets are for things i haven't done."

I new to blogging and new to your blog, which I've tagged ... stimulating left- and right-brain info.
more we don't:
1. lack of time
2. competing with other brands
more we should:
1. fun
2. knowledge is king
Happy New Year.

remember the budgets we blew during Web 1.0... wondering if this time we have learned anything.
We have nothing to fear...but fear itself

To regret one's own experiences is to arrest one's own development.
Not sure who wrote it but I read it in '06 and saved it--this gives me the perfect opp to share it.
