Most of you who know CK have probably heard the news that her Mother died very suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of an accident in the home. You can read about it here.
CK's mom has a name. It's Sandra Johnson Kerley. Not only did Sandra raise a wonderful daughter, but she was generous and kind. One of her favorite charities was Habitat for Humanity—a well run organization dedicated to providing housing options for those who have none.
You may be seeing this badge on a lot of familiar blogs in the days to come. It's not to make us look good. We want to honor the memory of Sandra by collecting funds which will then be donated to Habitat for Humanity. Even if you don't know CK, this something worth doing.
