As morose as it sounds, thinking about the legacy you want to leave and how you want to be remembered, is a surefire way to stop being "busy" (isn't easy to get caught up in being busy?!) and start focusing on the stuff that really matters.

Great ideas...Procrastination is rooted in fear and I find it extremely useful to remind myself of my mortality when irrational fears become an obstacle to DOING

I do all of this every day just to keep from being bored. (Or at least it seems that way.)
It's easier once you get the hang of it.
Only problem is if you do all of the above, you'd better have pretty good judgment about when to do each one. Timing is everything.
