5 Quick + Short Blogging Tips

I'm being interviewed for a book on blogging.  I was asked "What are your quick and short five best tips for blogging?"

I said:

1. Find your voice
2. Do something different
3. Be true to your brand
4. Provide value
5. Only write what makes you happy

Damn.  It's amazing how succinct you can get when someone asks you a question like that.

David

Seems to work out great for you.

Keep up the good work.

David,

This is great. I love #5...and as I've been working on my blog I've come to understand the point of writing about what you love. You do have to be true to your brand, but if your brand happens to be a bit eclectic and/or random, you can be true to that while still maintaining focused content.

Thanks for summarizing those valuable ideas. Great question, great answer.

Now, if only the billion blogs out there weren't so crappy and long-winded...

Thank you for the list - sometimes I think I am out of my mind trying to do what I have set to do with my company and blogging openly about it. But then this list just confirmed it - it makes me happy!
