Here's a related tidbit to mull over: The connection/overlap/conflict between traditional Marketing and experience design (or particularly as Morrissey refers to it "digital design").
This came to mind as I was just listening to an older Oracle presentation on Peppers & Rogers site, where they were talking about online billing and how one customer was leveraging a conversion to online billing through environmental messaging.
Let's add to that perspective the fact that recently Bank of America promoted their eCommerce director of Marketing to their overall director of Marketing (don't quote me on the facts here), and there was some shakin' goin' on to transition to a different way of doing business.

Bingo. I would like to add product and environment design into the mix as well. Without a solid understanding of the user experience, nether can succeed.

What do you forsee or believe will be key multidisciplinary skills and talents? Anything particularly new from say, 2 years ago? Or currently?
