I don't get it. ;)
But seriously, I'd put the ends in the opposite position - doesn't red mean WTF and blue mean OMG?
Or do I just think that because I live in a blue state.

John,
Good point about the colors! I'm going to flip it. (not because of politics, but red communicated "alert"!)

That's being blown up and hung on my wall. Too funny!
Posted by: Jonathan Burg | Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 12:30 PM
HA, David. That's funny. I do agree with the color shift. I see the WT spectrum as being red...
Posted by: Leigh Duncan-Durst | Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 12:32 PM
Sweet.
But is this a line, or a circle (i.e., the ends connect)? After all, sometimes OMG is very close to WTF.
Posted by: Scott Brinker | Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 12:44 PM
David,
You nailed it. I'll agree for the Center Square on the color shift.
This should be a poster or in a calendar of 'the best of Armano' graphics.

LOL @DamienBasile's comment.
Sweet spectrum, Dave. This should be made into a game--like a web 2.0 Twister!

That was too funny. Absolutely love the post.

that was pretty funny! :)

Holy crap, I want the poster! Seriously, you should sell this.
Posted by: Richard | Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 08:58 PM
Great scale. Found the link via a Twitter buddy - Twitter is moving from WTF to OMG as the days continue...

Hahaha awesome graphic David!
This reminds of the four stages of competence.
- Unconscious Incompetence
- Conscious Incompetence

Ha! Ha!
A nice one David!
Posted by: MyHome-MyOffice | Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 05:50 AM
That's great. Could be 1996 at the left end and 2001 at the right.

Somehow, a single dimension seems less appropriate than, say, a Klein bottle. =:)
Any chance this could be released more freely under some Creative Commons perms?

I think this is great ! I did a life cycle for people engaging in social media on my BLOG and think that it has a lot in common. People discover new things and then they can't wait to sign up on them all and they they realize "WTF"?

That's great, David. Thanks for sharing that. I plan to republish the graphic with a link to your blog from mine social network for content professionals, The Content Wrangler Community. Thanks again!!!
